Nova Scotia Gems
Nova Scotia is an awesome place with something to offer visitors of every taste. A tour of a historic site such as the Fortress of Louisbourgh or the Halifax Citadel will take you back to our earliest days when life was hard and the struggle to establish and hold onto territory in the new world was just beginning. Over the years, the blending of cultures has given Nova Scotians an identity of their own, an identity that is easily recognised in the music, the dance and the friendliness of the people. I fell in love with this place and am still struggling to decide where I would live if, and likely when, I come to stay for at least a summer. I am writing this from a hostel in North Cape on Cape Breton Island. Right now this place has my vote. Lunenberg, Tatamagouche, Mahone Bay: all possibilities.
